BDP returns to the UMBC Theatre with a mix of heart-warming, mind-bending, vigorous, inventive, creepy, and entertaining dance, featuring choreography by artistic directors Doug Hamby and Carol Hess, and performances by award-winning dancers Sandra Lacy, Adrienne Clancy, and a crew of 8 outstanding dancers.

Hamby works include:
--Stop and Go*, in which a young dancer revs his engines for the first time.

--Gavotte*, a playful duet in a theme and variations structure to music by   Scarlatti.

--Heartstrings, a movement meditation on the music of Ferdinand Maisel with luscious dancing amid shards and flecks of light.

Hess works include:

--Liquid Measure*, a duet inspired by ancient forms of measurement using the body as a reference.

--Private Property, an edgy dance about personal space and voyeurism, featuring dancer Michelle Brandenburg and camera artist/filmmaker Nick Prevas interacting with live, real-time large scale video.

--Transparencies/Other Lives, in which six dancers become avatars and explore a virtual world, dancing with animated characters and visual projections.

Also featured:
--When I Needed You Most, Where Were You?, choreographed and performed by Adrienne Clancy and Sandra Lacy (a Maryland 2010 Choreographers Showcase selection)

--Two by Eartha, a virtuosic yet whimsical solo by Irene Hultman, performed by Sandra Lacy
